Key Features & Benefits
Every Tulsi pump is built on three uncompromising engineering principles that deliver decades of dependable service.
How Liquid Ring Technology Works
A continuous four-step cycle that uses a rotating liquid ring to compress gases with unmatched reliability and near-isothermal efficiency.
Gas Intake
Process gas enters the pump through the inlet port and is drawn into the spaces between the rotor blades and the liquid ring. The eccentric rotor position creates expanding cell volumes on the intake side, pulling gas in smoothly and continuously without pulsation or mechanical valves.
Compression Cycle
As the rotor spins, the liquid ring follows the cylindrical housing wall while the eccentric geometry progressively reduces cell volume. This gradual compression compresses the trapped gas nearly isothermally, with the liquid ring absorbing heat of compression and keeping operating temperatures remarkably low.
Liquid Ring Sealing
The rotating liquid ring forms a dynamic seal between the rotor blades and the housing, eliminating metal-to-metal contact and the need for internal lubrication. This liquid seal also continuously scrubs the gas stream, removing entrained particulates and condensable vapours in a single operation.
Discharge Phase
Compressed gas reaches the discharge port at the centre of the housing and exits the pump along with a small portion of the seal liquid. The discharged mixture passes through a separator vessel where the liquid is recovered and recirculated back to the pump, creating a closed-loop system with minimal water consumption.
Industries & Applications
From corrosive chemical environments to hygienic food processing, our liquid ring vacuum pumps deliver reliable performance across the most demanding industrial sectors.
Chemical Processing
Liquid ring pumps handle corrosive vapors and explosive gas mixtures with inherent safety, using the service liquid as a barrier against chemical attack. Ideal for distillation, evaporation, crystallization, and solvent recovery applications where process integrity and operator safety are non-negotiable.
Pharmaceutical
Clean, oil-free vacuum is critical for API drying, sterile filtration, and freeze-drying processes. Our pumps eliminate contamination risk while maintaining precise vacuum levels across batch and continuous operations, fully compliant with cGMP and FDA validation requirements.
Power Generation
Steam turbine condenser air extraction demands robust, high-capacity vacuum systems that operate continuously under thermal cycling. Our pumps maintain condenser backpressure at design levels, directly improving turbine efficiency and reducing heat rate across thermal and nuclear power plants.
Sugar Processing
Vacuum pans and evaporators in sugar mills require stable, high-volume vacuum for efficient crystallization and juice concentration. Our pumps handle the wet, sugar-laden vapor streams without fouling, reducing downtime and energy consumption across the entire milling campaign.
Paper & Pulp
Paper machine dewatering, felt conditioning, and black liquor evaporation all depend on reliable vacuum. Our pumps tolerate fiber carryover and high moisture loads while delivering the consistent vacuum profile needed for uniform sheet formation and high machine speeds.
Food Processing
Evaporative cooling, vacuum packaging, and dehydration in food plants require hygienic, oil-free vacuum. Our stainless steel liquid ring pumps meet HACCP standards while handling product vapors and washdown environments without compromising vacuum stability or product safety.
