Tulsi Pumps & Systems
Industrial Water Ring
Vacuum Pumps
Engineered for relentless performance with 99.9% uptime and 30% energy savings — powering critical processes across Gujarat's industrial backbone.
Core Features
Engineered with precision to deliver unmatched reliability, efficiency, and longevity in the most demanding industrial environments.
Contamination-Free Operation
Our advanced mechanical seal design creates a hermetic barrier between the process gas and bearing lubrication system. This eliminates oil carryover into the vacuum stream, ensuring 100% clean discharge suitable for sensitive chemical, pharmaceutical, and food-grade applications.
Near-Isothermal Compression
The service liquid ring continuously absorbs the heat of compression, maintaining gas temperatures close to the seal water inlet temperature. This near-isothermal process prevents thermal degradation of heat-sensitive vapors and dramatically improves volumetric efficiency compared to dry screw or rotary vane alternatives.
Low Maintenance Design
With only one rotating assembly and zero metal-to-metal contact in the compression chamber, our pumps achieve extraordinary mean time between overhauls. Routine service is limited to periodic seal water and bearing lubrication checks, slashing your total cost of ownership by up to 40% over a decade of operation.

From sterile pharmaceuticals to abrasive paper pulp, our contamination-free isothermal vacuum technology delivers unmatched process stability across the most demanding sectors.
Pharmaceutical
Sterile vacuum conditions are non-negotiable in API synthesis and tablet coating. Our isothermal liquid-ring design eliminates hot spots and oil carryover, ensuring every batch meets cGMP purity standards without cross-contamination risk.
Food Processing
From freeze-drying fruits to vacuum-packaging dairy, moisture-tolerant vacuum pumps maintain hygienic low-pressure environments. The water-sealed chamber naturally scrubs particulates, preventing product buildup and meeting HACCP sanitation protocols.
Chemical Processing
Corrosive vapors and explosive atmospheres demand robust vacuum solutions. The near-isothermal compression cycle safely handles solvent recovery and reactor evacuation, while the liquid ring absorbs exothermic peaks that would destroy dry-running pumps.
Paper & Pulp
Black liquor evaporation and pulp dewatering generate heavy fiber carryover and alkaline condensates. Our pumps tolerate high liquid slugs and abrasive fines without internal wear, delivering consistent vacuum for the entire kraft recovery cycle.
How Water Ring Technology Works
Three precision-engineered stages deliver near-isothermal compression with zero process contamination, using only water as the service liquid.
Eccentric Impeller Rotation
The multi-blade impeller is mounted off-center within the cylindrical casing. As it spins, centrifugal force hurls the service water outward, forming a concentric liquid ring that hugs the casing wall. The eccentric offset creates crescent-shaped void spaces between the impeller hub and the water ring, generating the suction that pulls process gas into the pump.
Liquid Ring Formation & Gas Compression
As the impeller rotates through each cycle, the water ring alternately recedes from and advances toward the hub. During the intake phase, the expanding cell volume draws gas through the inlet port. On the discharge side, the water ring plunges back into the cell, compressing the trapped gas. Because water absorbs the heat of compression instantly, the process remains near-isothermal—eliminating the dangerous temperature spikes common in dry pumps.
Heat Absorption & Discharge
The compressed gas exits alongside a small bleed of service water through the discharge port, carrying away all absorbed thermal energy. This continuous water exchange maintains a stable low operating temperature and scrubs out any entrained particulates or condensable vapors. The result is a contamination-free vacuum stream, ideal for sensitive processes where oil-sealed or dry-running alternatives introduce unacceptable purity risks.
Trusted by Industry Leaders
Hear from manufacturing teams across Gujarat and India who rely on Tulsi water ring vacuum pumps for mission-critical processes every day.
We replaced three liquid ring units from a European brand with Tulsi pumps across our chlor-alkali plant in Dahej. The near-isothermal compression has cut our seal water consumption by 30%, and the cast iron casing handles corrosive vapours without degradation. Service turnaround is faster than anything we experienced with imported spares.
Rajesh Mehta
Maintenance Head — Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd, Vadodara
Our paper mill in Vapi runs 24/7, and vacuum consistency is non-negotiable. The Tulsi water ring pump maintains steady 710 mmHg on the couch roll without hunting, even when white water temperature spikes in summer. The local support team from their Surat office has never left us stranded — spares arrive within 48 hours.
Amit Patel
Plant Engineer — Shree Paper Products Pvt Ltd, Vapi
We use six Tulsi water ring vacuum pumps for our edible oil deodorisation lines in Jamnagar. The pumps handle fatty acid vapours without any carryover into the seal water loop — our earlier dry screw pumps couldn't manage the condensables. Energy consumption per tonne of oil processed has dropped nearly 18% since the switch.
Sandeep Gohil
Production Manager — Rajnandini Edible Oils, Jamnagar
Our pharma intermediates unit near Ankleshwar needed a vacuum source that wouldn't contaminate the product stream with oil mist. Tulsi's water ring design was the cleanest option we evaluated. The SS316 wetted parts and the mechanical seal arrangement have given us two years of trouble-free operation on our wiped-film evaporators.
